WINTER LEAGUE 2010-11 INFORMATION |
- The Winter League starts the beginning of September and ends in April. Teams rotate through various days and ice times. All games are played in the evening during the week and mornings, afternoons and evenings on Saturdays and Sundays. The majority of games are scheduled on the weekend. There are no games during Labour Day weekend or Easter.
- There are two leagues:
DHL - Novice to intermediate teams.
DWHL - Novice to intermediate women's only teams.
- Registration for the Winter 2010-11 League starts June 1/10 for existing teams and June 15/10 for new teams. If you have any questions or want to register please email Charlene charlene@duffershockey.com.
- Individual players can register and will be assigned to existing or new teams if space is available. Registering via the internet provides the necessary information to assign players to teams and the best opportunity to join a team. Players will be contacted by the league or a team manager ONLY if a position is available. Players must be 19 years or over to play in the DHL and DWHL.
- Games are played at Ice Sports North Shore, 2411 Mount Seymour Parkway, North Vancouver.
- 24 games plus 2 playoff games.
- All teams make the playoffs. There are additional playoff games for qualifying teams.
- Games are 75 minutes with a 3 period stop-time format.
- Referees and a timekeeper are provided for each game.
- Game schedules and statistics are posted on the league web site. Team manager web site access available.
- Teams will be placed in the appropriate division for their overall skill level. The league may move teams to more suitable divisions during the season. Divisions will consist of 4 or more teams of similar skill.
- CARHA accident and liability insurance.

- Please make cheques for league fees payable to the Duffers Hockey League.
- No cash accepted.
- Receipts issued only upon request.
- 5% late payment charge applied to outstanding team fees after due date. Payments must be postmarked by the due date.
